We use Shopper Approved to collect and display our reviews. Shopper Approved is the only review service that does not allow illegal review filtering. All reviews, good and bad, are published.
The other review systems allow websites to:
Upload spreadsheets of reviews, and tag them as verified purchases. This allows unethical merchants to publish thousands of fake reviews.
Hide negative reviews that do not violate FTC guidelines. They leave it up to the merchant to decide if a review should be published.
While the FTC has implemented penalties for manipulating reviews these systems leave it up to the merchant to police themselves. In our view no merchant should be allowed to suppress any reviews. Reviews that violate FTC guidelines should be submitted to the review system to determine if it should be removed.* The FTC can police the two dozen or so review systems. It is an impossible and never ending task for the FTC to police the millions of online merchants.
*That is the policy that Shopper Approved follows.
