WELFLOS is a Periodontitis care at home. It restores the proper pH to your saliva.
Your saliva is acidic. By starving harmful bacteria and nourishing beneficial bacteria your saliva becomes neutral to slightly alkaline.
Dr. Cami Belean from Cedar Valley Dental in Austin joins us on KXAN to discuss the amazing results her patients have had using WELTIP.
]]>The best approach to Periodontal disease is to avoid it. Plaque is a symptom, not the problem. The acid that harmful bacteria excretes is the cause.
If you are experiencing gingivitis, you need to take it seriously. It can progress to Periodontal disease within months. Most treatments are ineffective as they offer temporary relief while creating long-term damage.
The Welflos M Complete is the best water flosser if you need Periodontal care at home. The system lowers harmful bacteria levels.
Water floss with Weltab water flosser tablets twice per day, in the morning and at bedtime. It is essential to keep your harmful bacterial count as low as possible.
We also recommend that you use the Welbrush flossing toothbrush. The bristles do a better job at reaching difficult to brush areas.
]]>Clinical studies show that water flossers do a good job of removing food particles. Most people will notice an improvement using a water flosser daily. While this does provide some benefit, it doesn't address the source of the problem. Harmful bacteria create most oral health problems. Flossing with only water spreads this bacteria.
Our product formulas starve harmful bacteria and nourish beneficial bacteria. Your saliva will return to its natural state of slightly alkaline after a few weeks of use. You must stop using products that kill bacteria to have good results.
Our patented Weltip Infuser Tip delivers our unique solution to areas your toothbrush can't reach. We have refined our Weltab formula to produce impressive results. A healthy, alkaline mouth allows your tissue to heal.
]]>Our nasal tissue is where sinus problems begin. Cleaning the nose helps remove infection-causing bacteria, irritants, and allergens. Many of our health issues start in the mouth and nose. Cleaning nasal passages should be a regular part of our daily routine.
Xylitol is a natural sweetener that starves harmful bacteria. It also keeps it from adhering to mucus membranes. These harmful bacteria can be aspirated into the lungs. This can lead to bronchitis and pneumonia. It can also make asthma worse.
Weldental Nasal Support works:
Using Xylitol nasal spray at least twice per day helps keep your nasal passages healthy.
]]>Gingivitis is swelling or soreness of gums around your teeth. The harmful bacteria count increases, causing plaque to build up. Plaque is a sticky, colorless film that forms as harmful bacteria thrive. These bacteria also produce acid, which inflames your gums.
People with diabetes are more likely to get gum disease. Many medications can affect your gums. Any medications that reduce saliva can make gum disease more likely. Poor oral hygiene and smoking can cause an increased chance of developing gum disease.
Brush your teeth at least twice a day, and water floss with our system. See your dentist regularly. These steps will help reduce your bacterial levels, keep your breath fresh and save your smile.
]]>Studies show that string floss only reaches 2mm to 3mm into the gum pockets
]]>Water Floss vs String Floss. Which is more effective? If you take your oral health seriously that is a question you should ponder. If you are doing both every day you are certainly getting better results than people who only brush their teeth. We want to give you some information today so you can make an informed decision on what works best and which techniques fit into your daily routine.
Studies show that dental floss only reaches 2mm to 3mm into the gum pockets and unless you really give it your best effort you are most likely only getting to the 2mm depth. Standard string floss also does nothing to address the bacteria that is creating your plaque. The practice of using standard string floss only may transfer plaque bacteria throughout your mouth.
We recommend using a Xylitol dental floss. This is an improvement as this type of floss will help starve the plaque bacteria it reaches.
Water flossers are an important addition to your oral health routine. They can reach up to 6mm into the gum pockets. Most water flossers however only deliver water and can spread harmful bacteria throughout your mouth.
]]>The method of dealing with Plaque build-up has been with abrasive toothpastes. This is a battle you will never win.
]]>The most common reasons for dental visits are gum disease, tooth extractions and preventative cleanings. They are often related to plaque build-up. Many people think that plaque is a by-product of food left behind after brushing. We now know today it is, in fact, the excretion from the harmful bacteria that lives in our mouth. The areas in between our teeth and gum pockets make for a safe haven for these bacteria to multiply. Left unaddressed it can result in gum recession, bone loss and eventually tooth loss.
The method of dealing with plaque build-up has been with an abrasive toothpaste. This is a battle you will never win. The harmful bacteria wins every time, creating more plaque every day for your dental hygienist to scrap away. It is in between your cleanings the damage is done.
Fortunately, there is a simple and safe solution to this dilemma, Xylitol. Harmful bacteria love Xylitol! They absorb it quickly. This creates a problem for this little creature. It can't metabolize Xylitol to use it as nutrition so it starves.
Your gum pockets are a bacterial frat house. For the Xylitol to be the most effective it must get to all of the hard to reach areas. Our Weltip Infuser Tip delivers our unique solution throughout your mouth. Within a few days, the urge to scrub and over brush will disappear. You will notice a dramatic difference in how clean and smooth (plaque-free) your mouth feels.
]]>Did you know that your mouth has both good and bad bacteria? The good bacteria help produce saliva to keep your gums, bone, and teeth healthy. Excessive plaque bacteria create acidic saliva. Acidity leads to gum disease and tooth loss.
We're sure you have seen ads for mouthwash claiming to treat Gingivitis by killing 99% of bacteria. It kills primarily good bacteria. Our products don't kill bacteria. They starve the harmful bacteria and nourish the good bacteria. Starve the bad. Feed the good. Your mouth will return to a normal, healthy, neutral to a slightly alkaline state.
It is very common for people to have Gingivitis. Gingivitis is a warning sign that Periodontal Disease is in your future.
If you do not treat this condition, you will not only experience gum loss but also bone loss. Mouthwash, string floss, and toothpaste will not halt mid to late-stage Periodontal Disease.
We have Weltips that are compatible with most Waterpik water flossers.
Saliva is your mouth's best defense against gum disease. Alkaline saliva quickly returns to a neutral pH level after drinking acidic liquids. Harmful bacteria and viruses have much difficulty existing in an alkaline environment. Your beneficial bacteria thrive when the pH of your saliva is alkaline.
Use Weltabs twice per day. It delivers a solution that starves harmful bacteria and nourishes beneficial bacteria. This is the key reason our approach works where others fail. Weltip delivers our solution to areas where your toothbrush and mouthwash don't reach. After a few weeks, your saliva will return to its normal state. An alkaline mouth is a healthy mouth.
]]>If you have read some of our previous blog posts, you know that Xylitol starves harmful bacteria. Today, we will give you a more detailed explanation of why our approach is effective.
Sugar is a six-carbon sweetener. Xylitol and Stevia are 100% natural five-carbon sweeteners. We refer to all plaque bacteria as harmful bacteria for simplicity. Harmful bacteria metabolize sugar, excreting plaque and acid. This is why most people's mouth is acidic.
You also have basophilic bacteria that we refer to as beneficial bacteria. Your beneficial bacteria's job is to keep your mouth healthy by creating saliva. Saliva is one of your best defenses against gum disease. Beneficial bacteria can use five-carbon sweeteners as fuel.
When you use Weldental products, you starve the harmful bacteria. Our products also provide your beneficial bacteria the nutrition they need to flourish. The acid production decreases as the harmful bacteria population is minimized.
The beneficial bacteria count increases within a few weeks. The pH of your saliva becomes neutral to slightly alkaline. Xylitol benefits people with dry mouth by increasing saliva production. This return to your mouth's natural state stops further damage from occurring.
We recommend using our system twice per day. It delivers our Weltab formula to hard-to-reach areas where harmful bacteria thrive. Weltip Infuser Technology is a safe, simple method to better oral health. Our products restore your pH balance naturally.
]]>If you have gum disease, you should not oil pull. It will make your situation worse by killing your mouth’s beneficial bacteria. The results from oil pulling are the same as using an antiseptic mouthwash. You get a short-lived relief but create long-term problems.
You may have also heard of the term essential oils. Tea tree oil is sometimes used in dental products. These oils have antiseptic properties. They create short-term relief but also kill beneficial bacteria.
Your beneficial bacteria balance is fragile. Plaque and acid-producing bacteria are aggressive. You will always have some harmful bacteria regardless of your oral hygiene method. Disrupting the balance of beneficial bacteria can result in dry mouth. A dry mouth can lead to further gum recession.
If swishing oil around in your mouth for 15 minutes, twice a day, has not deterred you, we hope this information will.
Here is a blog article from Ask The Dentist on oil pulling.

In 2017 Weldental launched its original formula, Chewtab toothpaste tablets. We knew we could make a better product by focusing on the quality of ingredients instead of cost. Most of the tabs in the market had unnecessary ingredients, harsh chemicals, and unpleasant flavors. Chewtabs contain limited, natural ingredients and resemble the texture of toothpaste as you brush.
Bite Toothpaste Bits appeared in 2018 with a marketing campaign focused on plastic-free packaging.
Here is a list of ingredients that kill beneficial bacteria. You should avoid using oral care products that include these ingredients. This list will be updated regularly to include recent inquiries from our clients.
Fluoride - Use NHAP, Nanohydroxyapatite products instead. It re-mineralizes naturally and more consistently and it is not toxic.
Hydrogen Peroxide - Overuse can damage gums and dentin. Infrequent use to whiten enamel is fine when products are used as directed by your dentist.
Coconut Oil
Tea Tree Oil
Neem
Sodium chloride
Avoid using alcohol based mouthwash or any mouthwash with claims that it kills bacteria.
]]>Charcoal whitening is a trendy way to whiten teeth quickly, but is it enamel-safe? Dental professionals say it is not.
Charcoal's particles have sharp edges. It can etch the enamel, which will lead to increased future staining. Whitening teeth with harsh abrasion will result in loss of enamel. Enamel loss can create sensitivity. Enamel loss is permanent.
Here is a link to an article about charcoal toothpaste in Today's RDH.
]]>In the 1970s, NASA created a synthetic version of Hydroxyapatite. They discovered that Nano-sized particles re-mineralized enamel and bone. In zero gravity, astronauts would experience enamel and bone loss. Nano-hydroxyapatite corrected this problem.
Later that decade, a Japanese company created an enamel restoring Nano Hydroxyapatite toothpaste
When your saliva is acidic, it erodes your enamel and bone. Neutral to slightly alkaline saliva allows Nano-Hydroxyapatite to re-mineralize enamel and bone. It re-mineralizes by filling in the pores of enamel and bone. Nano-hydroxyapatite is safe to swallow, unlike fluoride toothpaste.
]]>Instead of fumbling with a tube of traditional toothpaste, give these handy tablets a try. All you need to do is pop one in your mouth, chew, and brush. Once you chew on the tablet, it creates a nice foam. They contain Xylitol to starve harmful bacteria to help prevent gum disease.
Some toothpaste contains harsh abrasives that can cause damage to your enamel. With silica-free Chewtabs, you won't need to worry about enamel health. They still clean effectively, but it does so in a gentle manner.
Old toothpaste tubes go into the landfill and contribute to waste and pollution. If you choose tablets instead, you can buy refill kits and put them in the refillable bottle. Make sure you pick a brand that includes plastic-free packaging.
When you chew toothpaste tablets to a fine powder, they react with water to create a cleansing foam. This dental-friendly foam will leave your mouth feeling clean and refreshed.
Most drugstore toothpaste brands contain everything from fluoride to unusual flavoring. If you want to brush your teeth in a safe, chemical-free manner, toothpaste tablets are a wise choice. Chewtabs contain simple ingredients that are vegan and safe to use.
You're not limited to the old standby flavor of mint when you switch to toothpaste tablets. They come in various flavors like cinnamon, vanilla mint, and even bubble gum. Pick a flavor that appeals to you, so you're not stuck with those bland toothpaste flavors of the past.
If you're looking for a new and unusual way to brush your teeth, give these handy tablets a try. They're a ton of fun to use, and they'll change up your daily brushing routine. These tablets are safe for children to use. We do recommend adult supervision, so have the entire family give them a try.

]]>Is the water flosser with the highest pressure the best choice?
]]>Your Google search is "which water flosser has the highest pressure." The problem with that approach is that most have more pressure than is necessary.
A better approach is the gentle approach. Most water flossers deliver 100 PSI or more at the highest pressure setting. Our Welflos models, when used with Weltip, provide 80 PSI maximum. Studies have proven that this is a safe level that will not create issues.
Weldental flossers deliver our propriety solution. It is much more effective than flossing with just water.
Are you using a Perio tip? Stop! Manufacturers who include Perio tips instruct users to only use them on the lowest pressure setting. Most people are unaware of that guidance. They have also been led to believe that higher pressure results in healthier gums.
Sometimes our customers explain it perfectly. Here is a recent review:
"I had a Waterpik previously, and it worked fine until the on-off switch became intermittent. So I decided to try the Weldental-- and I'm glad I did! This flosser is great! Works great, easy to use, and load up with water and the Xylitol tablet; the tablet rarely leaves any residue behind to be rinsed out; plus, you are minimizing bacteria around the gums by using it. The tablets cost extra for more bottles, of course, but I bought enough to last 3/4 of the year, so I'm all set. The pressure output on this flosser is not like the Waterpik - it has less pressure coming out even at the highest setting when compared to the Waterpik. At first, I was disappointed by the "low" pressure, but then I got used to it, and it is just fine by me! I don't know of any disadvantages, but hey, I'm biased-- really like this product-- hope to use it for years to come! If it falls apart for some reason, I'd buy another one in a second!"
]]>You have bought a soft toothbrush, but is it cleaning your teeth gently? The bristles and design need to be of high quality. Quality bristles do not splay out while you brush, creating more abrasion. Welbrush bristles are PBT with thin tapered tips. The longer tapered bristles clean deep between teeth and under gums. PBT does not absorb water, resulting in longer-lasting bristles.
Quality toothbrushes are soft with fine-tipped bristles. Here are a few "gimmicks" that may sell toothbrushes but do nothing to help you clean effectively:
Choose a handle that is comfortable for you to hold while brushing your teeth gently. The Welbrush handle is shaped like a dental instrument. Refresh your toothbrush every three months and after a cold or flu. Welbrushes are available in four colors, Blue, Gray, Purple, and Seafoam.
You mean well, but if you are brushing with too much force, you are damaging the enamel of your teeth. Choose a quality toothbrush with bristles that do not splay out while brushing. A good toothbrush should last three months.
Electric toothbrushes increase the abrasiveness of toothpaste. We do not recommend them.
Always brush in a circular motion, never horizontally. A toothbrush should brush your teeth with the tips, not the sides of the bristles.
Toothpaste has an RDA value which indicates its abrasiveness. An RDA value of 100 or less indicates a toothpaste that will not damage your enamel. Toothpaste with tarter control or whiteners has high RDA values.
People who have gum disease are prone to damage by abrasion. Their dentin may be exposed below their gum line. Dentin is much softer than enamel.
Chewtab Gentle Whitening is an excellent choice for low abrasion toothpaste. Chew the tablet for 5-10 seconds, then brush with a damp toothbrush. As you brush, it will foam up.
The acidity of your coffee, energy drinks, and some fruit juices can also damage your enamel. Drinking a glass of water and swishing your mouth with water before brushing will help avoid damage.
We want your teeth to last your lifetime. They will if you care for them.
Welfresh Cleans and Disinfects
]]>Once a week place your WELTIP in a glass of hot water with a Welfresh tablet. Allow it to sit overnight. Rinse well the next morning prior to use.
]]>Did you know the first toothbrush was invented in 1498? How far have we evolved since then? Little has changed until now.
]]>Did you know the first toothbrush was invented in 1498? How far have we evolved since then? Little has changed until now.
Only a few years ago we had 3 choices in toothbrush categories, hard, medium and soft. It was actually difficult finding a soft toothbrush as the majority sold were hard and medium. Opinions have certainly changed as we have found out what a couple of decades of over brushing has done to our teeth and gums.
If you brush at two to three times a day any plaque build-up is most likely the result of the difficulty reaching into the awkward areas of your mouth. The back of your rear molars is a good example. Unless you are a python this area is extremely difficult to brush effectively!
Plaque is sticky but isn't that difficult to remove. For most people, the plaque build-up occurs at the gum line. The complication that arises is if you brush your gum line too roughly you can damage your gums.
The best solution is to use a water flosser with a Xylitol delivery system. Water flossing is very effective at removing biofilm and plaque. By adding a low abrasion, calcium-rich toothpaste to this routine we have the perfect solution.
]]>Many people are aggressively brushing their teeth. They are also using abrasive toothpaste. Whitening toothpaste uses abrasion to make your teeth whiter by stripping enamel. Excess abrasion can cause severe long-term damage to your tooth enamel and your gums. Charcoal toothpaste is more abrasive due to the sharp edges of the particles.
You may be taking better care of the finish on your car than your teeth. You hand wash it to preserve the finish, but you may have used 'sandpaper' to brush your teeth this morning.
The RDA abrasion rating should be required on toothpaste packaging. There has been some testing of toothpaste abrasion. Most major brands that claim to be whitening your teeth are rated at the mid or high end of the RDA scale.
Your teeth are sensitive due to enamel loss from abrasion. Excess abrasion can also damage your gum tissue. This damage takes a while to become noticeable. Most people don't realize what they have done until it is too late.
Take a look at your toothbrush. Softer is better, and make sure you run it under hot water before using it. It not only will help remove bacteria, but it will also soften the bristles.
Weltip completely changes how we keep our teeth and gums healthy. We recommend using Weltip with our Weltab water flosser tablets twice per day. Weltabs minimize plaque and acid-producing bacteria.
